To all our fans and fellow airtrekkers!

We have closed for the time being our last 140m slide and the tree rappel on the canopy tour for service and maintenance, as we might have some potential damage from a fallen branch. We're still assessing the damage - which might be minor - but we will only get back into operation of that element when we can operate in the same safe way as we did in the last 7 1/2 years.
In the meantime we operate - at a lowered rate - our Adventure Fun Park High Ropes course with rope bridges, treeclimbing, spider web, flying fox, rappel passages etc., which is perfectly suitable for beginners, families, the fit and the .... not so fit!!!!!
The duration of the tour is approx. the same at 3-4 hours, depending on the pace of the group.
Any incovenience ius very much regretted, but unavoidable if we want to play safe!!!!
But we're still : READY TO GO!
Hope to see you soon

Canopy Tour Bookings

We found out over the last few weeks that quite a number reccreation desks of hotels and agents aren't selling our canopy tour activities, even if a guest asks directly for it. Excuses given are: we're overbooked, under service/maintenance, we're closed, the weather does not allow to operate our tours etc.The reason: most likely, there's more commission earned with other operators!
Everybody encountering such response please contact us direct by email or phone: 012-4848744 and we try to accomodate you on one of our daily trips!
Welcoming you on the most adventurous activity on the island!

PS: We had a successful shoot with the "Rough Guide" and Toby Amies in October -screened in UK on the 15th of December- and the latest was an exhilarating shoot for Discovery Channel with Denise Keller (MTV host) on the canopy tour and inside the largest cave in Langkawi - the highlight was a twin rappel of Denise and me back into the boat .....

Back to Normal!

It was a very busy first 2 weeks of November as we had three International Schools from Hongkong here as our guests. We managed to get all of them safely through all our activities - the Canopy and Adventure Fun Park tours and Jungletrekking, the Mangrove Kayaking with all those hidden caves and secret corners and last but not least: the tree planting, which was a big success and was featured by the Malaysian medias such as RTM , Utusan , New Straits Times etc.
Now the day to day activities are on again: canopy tours are operated on a daily basis, with bigger groups arrangement possible for up to thirty participants in one go, the first cycling groups are here beginning of December until March and - of course- we're ready to receive the first Ironman 2009 participants. Whoever needs help with accomodation , bike related issues or wants to partake in our weekend training workshops and seminars about mental training, nutrition etc.... drop us an email at juergzim@yahoo.com or triathlonlgk@yahoo.de or call us at 0060-12-4848744.
Looking forward to welcome you all in Langkawi!

To all participants of the 2009 Ironman!

We're still looking for one or two practical students/athletes who want to work with us in our tour- and triathlon activities over the next couple of months.
Apart form the above: should anybody require accomodation weeks before the race and does not want to stay in town: we have various guest houses along Pantai Cenang/Pantai Tengah, where we can arrange accomodation at special rates for long stayers .
For any enquiries, contact us at juergzim@yahoo.com
Happy training and good luck!

To all future 'Ironman' and 'Langkawi vacationers'!
... alas, here we are again! A long holiday in Germany, spiced up with seminars about 'Mental Coaching- Hypnotherapy' - and now back in Langkawi!
September will see a small advertorial in the Triathlon-Magazine in Germany, with a short description of what we are doing and the updates in camps, prices for 2008/2009 etc.
We're still doing the CEP stockings, TREK bikes and the Rising Sun apparel.. so whoever wants to stock up on those items, just drop by at our place in Langkawi.
Langkawi is now affected by the rainy season which gives our bike rides a feel of the Tour De France, Giro or Vuelta - minus the cold, as we're still and always in the upper 20 degrees Celsius, even after 5 hours of rain. Not too bad!!!! The strong Euro makes holidaying here again - or still - exceptionally inexpensive, once you're here ... just imagine a Coke for 25 Cent!
We have fine tuned our open water swim sessions in the mangroves - see the picture above- and are ready for our peak season... when the weather in Germany and all over Europe starts to be wet and cold and stormy, all reasons to "Welcome You in Langkawi!"

Hope you had a successful triathlon season and hope to see you in Langkawi !

... after a long long time!

To all visitors to our website!

The reason why I was away for such a long time: just a few days before the IM Langkawi 08 , during a ride with other participants of our IM preparation camp, I veered off the road and while trying to come back on to the road I fell - result: a broken elbow and 6 weeks enforced rest!!
That's the bad news!
The good news: we had an article in the SCMP about our tours in Langkawi, which brought us a lot of happy adventurers - and potential triathletes, who didn't know that we're existing and were glad to hear that they do not have to bring their own bikes for a few days stint to Langkawi - where the wather is always good for training! I'm back in training since two weeks to get ready for some short and middle distance races here in Malaysia and Thailand, before the IM 2009.
2008/2009 will hopefully see an extension of our activities and camps and we might even be able to get a 50m Olympic size swimming pool for training here on the island of Langkawi.
I keep you all updated!
all the best and .. always try to stay on the road!
